Say thanks to local CFS this April with Stirling Hotel’s organic long lunch

The Stirling Hotel will host an organic long lunch to thank all the tireless efforts made by the CFS after the Stirling Mall complex fire last year.

Indulge in the picturesque sights of The Stirling Hotel this April as they host a delicious organic and sustainable long luncheon in honour of local CFS. The day promises a selection of the finest local organic fare, thoughtfully sourced from Adelaide Hills businesses.

Central to the day’s festivities is a meticulously curated menu, from the fresh catch at Angler to the artisanal delights of Hokey Pokey, there will be something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds. The delicious spread will be paired with exquisite wines from establishments such as Mount Barker’s Ngeringa and McLaren Vale’s Gemtree.

However, the meaning of this event extends beyond mere culinary delight, it serves as a dedicated reminder of resilience in the face of adversity. In late 2023, the Stirling Mall complex succumbed to a devastating fire, leaving behind a void that echoed throughout the community.

“Many are unaware of the profound impact this fire had on our local community,” Cameron Frost of Stirling Hotel said.

“This event serves an opportunity to welcome back those to Stirling and celebrate the incredible producers that surrounds us.”

The day will also offer an opportunity express gratitude to the unsung heroes – the brave firefighters of the Aldgate and Stirling Country Fire Service (CFS) – whose courage and sacrifice spared further devastation.

“We will be organising a fundraiser to support the local Aldgate and Stirling Country Fire Service (CFS) who risked their lives that day to ensure the safety of our community, preventing further loss of businesses and lives.

“We are fortunate to have in attendance on the day, the Stirling Business Association, Organic Consumers Association and National Association of sustainable agriculture Australia.”

Eager attendees are urged to secure their seats promptly, with limited tickets available at $145 per person. Be sure to stay tuned as The Stirling Hotel is yet to unveil the menu but be assured, they promise a feast for the senses like no other.
