Sayers strikes for Australia A

day3_thumbChadd Sayers has dominated with the ball in Australia A’s win over Gloucestershire in Bristol during the weekend.

Sayers proved too much for the Gloucestershire top order as he collected eight wickets for the match, including a five-wicket haul in the first innings.

The best of the Australia A bowlers, Sayers claimed the final wicket of the match in the narrow 24-run victory.

Phil Hughes was solid with the bat in the first innings with 48 off 68 balls including eight boundaries and one six.

In the East Anglican Premier Cricket League, Peter George led the way with bat and ball despite his side Copdock going down to Vauxhall Mallards.

In the five-wicket defeat, George top scored with 20 off just 12 balls and took 1/7 from seven overs.
