School’s Back For Fast-Track University Students

First SA university students return to classes for Trimester 1 2015

uni studentsWhile for most Australian universities, standard classes do not recommence until February, students enrolled at Torrens University Australia re-entered classrooms this week to commence their Trimester 1 2015 study period.

Torrens’ trimester model – which entails three study periods per year rather than the standard two –  has been designed to allow students to fast-track program completion, meaning students undertaking full time study are able to complete a Bachelor program in just two years (rather than three) and a Master program in one year.

Torrens University Australia is the first South Australian University to return for the 2015 study year, with new and returning students welcomed on-campus and online on 19 January 2015.

A welcome barbecue for all Torrens University Australia students is being held at the University’s Victoria Square campus on Friday 23 January at 12pm.

Applications for those interested in studying at Australia’s newest university – now in its second year of operations – are open until 29 January 2015. Programs include: Bachelor degrees in Media Design; Applied Public Health and Commerce, and Postgraduate degrees in Business (including MBA); Applied Public Health, Global Project Management; Education and Higher Degree by Research.

Alongside in-class learning, undergraduate programs incorporate industry work-placements and an integrated trimester of study overseas at a sister Laureate International University. In 2014, Torrens’ inaugural Bachelor class undertook their trimester abroad studying at INTI International University, Malaysia – check out their experience here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voK8q74L9Ok
