Get ready for a scoop of fun at Largs Bay! The council has been whipping up an ice cream themed playground right on the Largs Bay foreshore. With the project nearly complete, it will hopefully be ready to open by the end of June, just in time for the July school holidays (if weather permits).

The new playground isn’t just any playground, it has been custom designed by the creative minds at local business, Iguana Creative. Their imaginative design has transformed the playground into a magical space for kids and families, with sneak peek pictures revealing some insight into what it is expected to look like.

The Largs Bay foreshore has always been a favourite spot for both locals and visitors, but with the old play equipment reaching the end of its life, it was time for something new and exciting. The new ice cream themed play space is sure to be a major drawcard, adding a sprinkle of fun to the beautiful beachside location.

Alongside the new play area, there will be shelter and a BBQ, plus a ‘Changing Places’ facility with new public toilet facilities. Everything you need for a perfect day out!

With the new playground almost ready to sprinkle some joy, mark your calendars for the end of June to scoop up some fun! Thanks to Iguana Creative, children within the Largs Bay area will have a fantastic new place to enjoy.
