Score premium appliances from just $1 in massive $6M insurance clearance

Over 11,000 brand-new appliances from top brands like Apple and Samsung are hitting the auction block, starting at just $1.

Lloyds Auctioneers & Valuers Pty Ltd has announced a major stock clearance following a $6 million insurance claim, which sees over 11,000 new household appliances going under the hammer with bids starting at just $1. The vast array of premium appliances includes high-demand brands like Apple, Samsung, Smeg, LG, Sony, Nespresso, Dyson, and Fisher & Paykel.

With the cost of living on the rise, this auction offers a significant opportunity for Australian households to acquire essential appliances at heavily discounted rates. The event is positioned not only as a chance to obtain valuable products economically but also serves to prevent viable goods from unnecessary waste.

The auction consists of big-ticket items such as fridges, TVs, kitchen gadgets, coffee machines, blenders, and vacuum cleaners. According to Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer of Lloyds Auctions, many items are brand new and still in their original packaging. “This event presents an opportunity for households to access premium appliances well below retail pricing,” Hames remarked.

The growth in environmentally conscious strategies sees these auctions as a way to rehome otherwise undervalued products, aligning with more sustainable approaches to retailing. “We’re seeing more and more high-quality products being repurposed through auctions rather than being discarded,” said Hames.

Spanning 11 days and involving 25 separate online auctions, the event is structured to manage high volumes rapidly and efficiently. “We have opened up nationwide shipping to anywhere in Australia due to the massive demand and enquiry we have seen in previous insurance claim events,” Hames stated.

“If you’ve been affected by ex-Cyclone Alfred or are simply feeling the cost-of-living squeeze, this is a rare chance to secure premium household items at heavily reduced prices,” said Hames.
