Prime Minister Scott Morrison has outlined the government’s plan to give all Australians the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by October of this year.
The Prime Minister acknowledged whilst Australia is entering 2021 in a “relatively strong position … the pandemic is still raging.”
Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout will be one of the largest logistics exercises in the country’s history.
The Prime Minister confirmed the TGA recently approved the Pfizer vaccine for people aged over sixteen, stating this is is “formal approval,” not an emergency one. To ensure the vaccines are safe, the Prime Minister said the government is investing in COVID-19 vaccine production here in Australia.
