Scouts Rally SA has announced changes to the locations and routes for Round 4 of the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship (ECB ARC) to be held August 1-3.

The changes will ultimately make the event more spectator friendly with activities and facilities perfect for families and motor racing fans of all ages.

Most of the daytime racing will take place at Mt Crawford Forest, however on the back of a successful Friday evening event held at the Gawler Showground in 2013, competition in 2014 return to the Gawler Showgrounds over two days, Saturday and Sunday, for the Main North Renault Super Special.

The Saturday night and Sunday afternoon stages of Scouts Rally SA will see cars thrilling crowds at the Main North Renault Super Special at Gawler Showgrounds including the inaugural running of the Gawler Cup on Sunday.  This unique new initiative will see the fastest 10 competitors across all classes and categories go head to head around the track at the Gawler showgrounds to win the cash prize and Gawler Cup.

A host of other related activities such as drift, off-road and classic car displays, music from Fresh 92.7 and the Sammy D Foundation’s Great Night Out bus will ensure a great event for all.  Catering will be plentiful with the local community pitching in to ensure the event is a huge success.

The remaining stages to be held on Friday and Saturday during the day as well as Sunday morning will be held on stages within Mt Crawford Forest in a setting created specially to ensure the best experience for spectators as well as drivers.

Scouts SA will set up catering and toilets on site and a huge bonfire will help keep the chilly weather at bay.  Mt Crawford is a fantastic location to see the rally drivers really put their skills to the test with the specially designed track offering spectators and competitors plenty of thrills.

The event will start in Mount Crawford Forest at 8am on Friday morning with the ARMOR ALL Power Stage, the rallying equivalent of qualifying with leading ECB ARC competitors battling it out for championship points.
