Seafood + Sounds returns to Adelaide Central Market this November

After a three-year hiatus Seafood + Sounds is returning this November, showcasing the best seafood in the world with street eats and cooking demos.

After a three-year hiatus and a huge growth in food and tasting in the state, the market’s seminal seafood event finally returns this November. Seafood + Sounds is a showcase of some of the best food in the world with street eats, cooking demos accompanied by live music.

A celebration of the market’s most flavoursome cuisine over two days with pop up shops hosted by some of Adelaide’s best restaurants and chefs. All the food served up is made up of the freshest local ingredients and a stimulation of senses that’ll make you spoilt for choice.

Back by popular demand for two days only, the Chilli Crab Shack by Sprout will return in partnership with Two GulfsCrabs.

Customers can enjoy mouth-watering Asian-style chilli crab using local Market produce and fresh SA blue swimmer crabs. Armed with an oversized crab bib, customers are encouraged to dig in and get messy, as they enjoy a local gin, live music and Market vibes. 

Newcomers to the event is fine dinery SiSea and Nu Sashimi Bar’s collaborative eatery exclusive to Seafood + Sounds. Hosted by renowned Chef Nu from Mrs Q, Nu Thai and Lantern by Nu for both days customers can try wok fried mussels, potato wrapped prawns, street-style barbecued prawns or even tuna sashimi surprisingly prepared with a giant sword!

Market customers can also learn from the best with Executive Chef of Press Tom Tilbury in-house demonstrating how to cook-up affordable local seafood that families will love and a Tuna Sashimi Yanagiba Knife demonstration.

Customers will be entertained with jazzy tunes by local musicians Jazz in Cheek, the Atlantic Street Band, Leni and Brian Ruiz and kids can enjoy a free sea creatures art workshop by Little Picassos.

Most of the traders will have limited stock so it will be a first come first serve basis so be sure to get down there early.
