It’s a family affair for new Adelaide fashion label SEBling, who are officially launching at insta-worthy venue Bloom next Friday.
Siblings Lauren and Luke Sebastiani have partnered up with Mum Amanda to create their own fashion label SEBling, focusing on high quality, timeless unisex garments that give customers multiple ways to style and more bang for their buck.
The launch of the label will take place at Thebarton favourite Bloom on Friday 23 July from 6pm where a fun, interactive runway will see the shake off of any pretences about stuffy fashion launches, with the SEBling team inviting launch guests to join them for a relaxed runway party and a spot of karaoke.
With Amanda bringing over 30 years of experience in fashion to the brand, Lauren and Luke grew up surrounded by inspiration, with Amanda creating wardrobes full of home-made clothes for the siblings, with the classy pieces prompting numerous queries of “where did you get that?!” Working together to finally provide Amanda’s talent with a platform to release it to the world, the company is focusing on a small initial release of limited edition stock to ensure nothing goes to landfill.
There’s a tangible family history present throughout the label’s pieces, including co-founder Luke’s favourite piece, a reversible cheesecloth shirt, that Amanda has been creating for family and friends for decades.
Other pieces include a pair of satin shorts and corduroy pants, which have all been proudly created using material sourced from Australia, and manufactured within South Australia.
The family trio are delighted to finally reveal their range, which is available for preorder, after first soft launching at a number of winter markets this year.
Keen to avoid the stereotypes of exclusivity and snobbery sometimes associated with the fashion world, the SEBling team are all about not taking themselves too seriously, and want their customers to look good while living their best lives.
Choosing to forego the use of models for the launch, SEBling are inviting guests to get kitted out in the their garments while enjoying Bloom’s range of drinks, a charcoal bbq and party tunes from DJ El Blat.
Born and raised in the East End of Adelaide, this marks a first venture into the fashion industry for Luke, who runs and operates a tennis academy, and Lauren a physiotherapist who is also opening up her own Pilates studio.
There has been interest from local stores about SEBling racks being made available amounts Adelaide’s most fashionable boutiques but the beautiful, hand-made items are available for pre-order online now.
