Get ready for a Brazilian winter in Adelaide

Segue OBaile presents: Brazilian Winter Festival. Get your cowboy hats on and get ready for a night of food and dancing.

Brazilian Winter Festival is back but this time, it’s country style! Put your cowboy boots on and get your straw hats ready for a Brazilian Winter Festival at Sunnybrae Estate this July.

The second most famous festival after Carnival, Winter festival-goers dance the night away in their country-best of flannel shirts, boots and anything you’d wear to a farm-themed party.

A live band and DJ will pump out some Brazilian classics ranging from forro beats to sertanejo tunes; and will play all night in the idyllic gardens of Sunnybrae, popular for its beautifully renovated heritage buildings that will make for a picturesque night.

No flannel? No worries! Everyone is welcome, as long as you’re in the mood to dance and try out some Brazilian food.

Delicious treats from popup tents will dish out Brazilian classics from local businesses in Adelaide, spicing up your winter night.

“We will have local Brazilian eateries, with some sweet and savoury options.” Erika Joaquim, Segue OBaile Founder said

Participating restaurants are yet to be confirmed, but we expect a delicious variety that anyone can try.

With the success of last year’s Festa Junina, the Segue OBaile crew want Adelaide to experience Brazilian culture by bringing in traditional food, games and music.

The winter festival will be kid-friendly, with festival games on offer to keep them entertained.

And if it’s anything like Festa Junina, you can expect a massive crowd.

“We’re hoping to bring the Brazilian community and Australian community together with this event. We’re expecting around 400 people this year,” Erika said.

It will be a busy night, so get your tickets soon.

Keep up with the event page for updates.
