Semaphore Greek Festival announces dates for 2024

This local favourite is bringing all the flavours, sounds, and sights of Greece to the shores of Port Adelaide.

It’s official!

Get ready to kick off the new year with a bang at the Semaphore Greek Festival, returning to Semaphore Beach on January 13th and 14th, 2024.

This local favourite is bringing all the flavours, sounds, and sights of Greece to the shores of Port Adelaide.

The Port Adelaide Greek Orthodox Community, along with over 300 volunteers, are putting the final touches on what’s set to be a weekend to remember.

With the support of the South Australian government and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, plus a fresh partnership with the Bank of Sydney, this year’s festival is shaping up to be a standout event.

Foodies, get your appetites ready. The festival will be dishing out all the classics – think mouth-watering yiros, succulent souvlaki, and the sweet, honey-drenched delight of loukoumades. Wash it all down with traditional Greek coffee or a refreshing drink, and you’ve got yourself a feast.

But it’s not just about the food. The Port Adelaide Greek Dance Academy will be there to entertain with their dynamic performances of traditional Greek dances. It’s a chance to see local talent shine and maybe even learn a step or two.

Feeling lucky? The festival’s annual raffle is offering the chance to win two return tickets to Greece. That’s right, you could be jetting off to soak up the Mediterranean sun just by being part of the fun.

And if you can’t make it to the beach, no worries. The festival’s going viral with a live social media broadcast, so you can catch the action from wherever you are.

With free admission and a promise of good times, the Semaphore Greek Festival is all about celebrating the community spirit and the rich tapestry of Greek culture.

So, gather your friends and family and head down to the Semaphore foreshore for a weekend of fun that’s sure to start the year off right.
