Seppeltsfield Village Is All In (And All Pink) For Moscato Mission This October

This October, Seppeltsfield Village is banding together for Moscato Mission, a fundraising campaign for breast cancer awareness.

This year alone, it is estimated that there will be 3,090 deaths in Australia as a result of breast cancer. It is set to remain the fourth most common cause of death from cancer, and the second most common cause of death from cancer among females.

Seppeltsfield Wines is taking a stand this October.

Walking through the Seppeltsfield Village, it is evident that this year, the fundraising has been taken up a notch. Moscato Mission, now in its second iteration, is a campaign designed to support families affected by breast cancer.

Pink ribbons aplenty are tied to the winery’s iconic palm trees, and the central fountain is scattered with bright pink flowers. A closer peek into the water reveals a myriad of coins, tossed in with a “wishing well” approach. At the end of October, the coins will be collected and counted towards the fundraising appeal.

The winery started Moscato Mission in 2018, raising an impressive total of $10,317. A 50% donation was made for every bottle of Seppeltsfield Barossa Moscato sold throughout October, which is breast cancer awareness month. This money was donated directly to Australian Breast Cancer Research (ABCR), who work to conduct medical research into the prevention, detection, management and treatment of breast cancer.

In 2019, Seppeltfield has built upon the initiative, with an array of opportunities for guests to contribute the fundraising effort throughout October.

Visitors are able to purchase pink ribbons from the cellar door for $20, which can then be wrapped around a palm tree. Guests are invited to write a personal message on the ribbon to support a loved one. The initiative has also been extended to include the Seppeltsfield Village. Fino Seppeltsfield has created a specialised Moscato Mission cocktail, which is on offer for $15, with all proceeds going towards the fundraising effort.

JamFactory Craft + Design Studios is donating 20% of everything pink sold in the store, and Vasse Virgin has introduced olive oil soap ‘bath boobs’. Starting at $9.90, all proceeds go towards Moscato Mission. Segway Sensation SA is contributing $5 from each ride to the cause.

Next year, Seppeltsfield hopes to grow Moscato Mission even further.

So, why not head to Seppeltsfield, sample a glass of Moscato, tie a pink ribbon, and support breast cancer awareness for women and men of all ages.

You can find Seppeltsfield Village at 730 Seppeltsfield Rd, Seppeltsfield.
