Following a brilliant opening concert in March at Elder Hall, Seraphim Trio returns to Adelaide on Sunday 5 May for the second concert of the 2013 series.
In a departure from the established format of the popular concert series, audiences will be treated to a rare and special opportunity to hear the members of the trio – Anna Goldsworthy (Adelaide), Helen Ayres (Melbourne), Timothy Nankervis (Sydney) – perform in solo, duet and trio configurations, reaffirming their talent as virtuosic soloists as well as finely tuned ensemble musicians.
For Adelaide’s Anna Goldsworthy, her return to South Australia earlier this year is proving to be particularly rewarding, having the opportunity to engage with her hometown community as a musician, author and academic. The year has already got off to an exciting start with Serpahim Trio’s national tour of their second concert coming up in just a couple of weeks.
This concert is the first time the trio has stripped back the established format of its popular subscription series to let the spotlight fall on the individuals as soloists or in a duet.
