The Collins Bar is teaming up with Settlers Gin for its limited edition ‘Spritz Cocktail Collection,’ which celebrates all things bubbly.
Sweet Cherry Fizz
The Spritz Collection takes the best of Settlers Gin to create a range of five limited edition cocktails.
The Spritz Collection is bound to excite the senses with its fruity tones and fizzy mixers. Featuring a range of cocktails that are both sweet and bitter – combining classical spirits such as Campari and Aperol with their featured spirit, Settlers Gin. Settlers Gin forms part of a family owned South Australian company, the McLaren Vale Distilling Company, established in 2008 which produces a series of products including gin and vodka. The range of Settlers Gin incorporates local ingredients such as lemon myrtle and muntrie berries from the nearby Adelaide Hills and Coorong to create varying tasting notes throughout the collection. The Collins Bar Manager, Ammon Rogers, said the cocktail series had been created with every cocktail enthusiast in mind.
Blueberry Smash
“Gin is the most popular spirit at the moment so we have highlighted this premium product with a variety of mixers. There are varying versions of Settlers Gin, all with different attributes. It’s a great spirit to try if you’re yet to experience gin outside of the usual Gin and Tonic,” said Mr Rogers.
“Gentlemen often think that cocktails are too sweet, so we’ve made sure this collection balances perfectly between sweet and savoury.”
The Blueberry Smash combines blueberry jam with tart fresh lime, Settlers Gin, balanced out with sugar syrup and topped up with bubbly prosecco and soda water – a refreshing cocktail served over crushed ice.
The full Spritz Collection includes; The Sweet Cherry Fizz, Blueberry Smash, Pacifico Spritz, The Unknown and The Sicilian. All cocktails are now available for 2 months.
