Calling all dumpling lovers! The ultimate dumpling night is coming to Adelaide’s West this December, and it’s the boozy, Asain fusion evening of our dreams.

The talented team at Seven Grounds is hosting a dumpling night this December 10, dishing up everyone’s favourite food at their Hawker Street haven in the heart of Brompton.

Stepping away from their usual speciality of brunch and coffee, the talented chefs at Seven Grounds are whipping up delicious dumplings and sides in an evening that is sure to tantalise your tastebuds.

Taking their ever-popular Asian fusion flavours into the nighttime session, a sneak peek of the Seven Grounds dumpling menu shows indulgent blue swimmer crab and charred corn dumplings in sumac butter and Lup Cheong and Tiger Prawn dumplings immersed in a delicious choo chee curry sauce.

As for sides, guests can expect plenty of fried rice, grilled squid in seaweed butter, and wok tossed egg noodles in Ngo XO sauce with chicken skin. While the flavours coursing through the taster menu is meat-heavy, Seven Grounds assures us that both vegans and vegetarians have been catered for as well.

As for drinks, Seven Grounds boasts an impressive local SA wine list and is also pouring a line-up of mouth-watering cocktail jugs on the night. Guests can expect to fill their glasses with an Ouzo Spritz jug, fizzing with ginger beer, soda, fresh mint and dehydrated citrus, a Lychee and vodka jug or a gin-based mix on the evening.

Ringing true to their ethos of ‘eat good, feel good, heaps good’, the Seven Grounds dumpling night is the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends before the busy Christmas period and share plates of piping hot dumplings and delicious boozy drinks.

Kicking off at 6pm, the dumpling night is walk-in only, with the cute and casual minimalistic design of Seven Grounds seating an impressive 100 people.

With the café usually closing at 3pm, the Seven Grounds dumpling night grants guests the opportunity to visit the Brompton Street location after hours and fill up on the delectable dumplings.

“We decided when we first opened, it is designed as a restaurant but we began operating as a café…however we’ve always pictured in mind to work as a hybrid,” says co-owner Andre Penascoza

“Our bread and butter has always been a day trade, but we’ve always wanted to open at night.”

Andre says the Seven Grounds hopes to regularly host the night specials this summer, potentially working with other businesses and venues on a cross-collaboration, before opening the eatery to guests on evenings.

The Seven Grounds Dumpling Night kicks off at 6pm on December 10, running until 10pm on Friday night.
