Seven new COVID-19 cases have been reported in SA along with more exposure sites

SA Health as reported that have been seven new cases of COVID-19 today with more exposure sites announced including Bakery on O’Connell.

SA Health as reported that have been seven new cases of COVID-19 today with more exposure sites announced. The popular Bakery on O’Connell has been listed as a suspected Omicron COVID exposure site. There have been 998 cases reported in South Australia to date.

Today’s cases are four men aged between 20 and 40 and three women aged between 20 and 60. Of these cases, one case acquired their infection interstate and three cases acquired their infection locally and are known contacts of previously reported cases, with one being a contact linked to the Norwood cluster. The remaining three cases acquired their infection locally with the source of their infection is yet to be identified.

A man is his 30s has been transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is in a stable condition. A woman in her 50s and another man in his 30s remain in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.

SA Health has identified new COVID-19 exposure locations in South Australia associated with a positive case of COVID-19. If you attended an exposure location, you are required to follow the relevant health advice directed by SA Health.

• Tuesday 7 December – 11.20pm to Wednesday 8 December – 12.50am

If you were at one of the above High risk contact exposure locations at the specified date and time, regardless of your vaccination status, you must:
• immediately quarantine for 14 days since you were at the location
• get tested immediately
• get tested again on day 6 and day 13

• wear a surgical mask when around others
• avoid contact with vulnerable people, avoid non-essential activities where possible and avoid shared spaces and maintain physical distancing on days 8 to 14 after exposure.

If you were at one of the above Casual contact exposure locations at the specified dates and times, you
must:
• get tested immediately and quarantine until you receive a negative result
• get tested again on day 6 and day 13
• wear a surgical mask when around others at all times
• avoid contact with vulnerable people (elderly, pregnant, young children), avoid non-essential activities where possible, avoid shared spaces and maintain physical distancing.

If you were at any of the above locations, but not at the specified date and time, monitor yourself for
symptoms and get tested as soon as symptoms develop.

You may not always receive a call, SMS or email from SA Health. You must follow the relevant health
advice even if you have not been contacted.
