A Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology this morning, which is current for people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, Lower South East and parts of North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts.
Winds will increase on Tuesday, particularly over the west and south of the State, resulting in daytime temperatures 4-12°C above average for most areas.
Showers will extend from the West during Tuesday, reaching Adelaide in the late afternoon or evening.
Strong winds and scattered showers will continue over southern SA on Wednesday, easing later in the day and on Thursday.
Wave heights will increase later on Tuesday, reaching 6-8m about exposed western and southern coasts on Wednesday or early Thursday.
Showers may return to the south on Friday, becoming more widespread over remaining districts on the weekend.
