The highly anticipated Elvis musical has arrived in Adelaide, promising audiences a thrilling journey through the life and music of the legendary rock ‘n’ roll icon.
Presented by David Venn Enterprises, known for their successful productions such as Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical and Bring It On: The Musical, Elvis: A Musical Revolution has landed at Her Majesty’s Theatre for a strictly limited four-week season.
With dazzling choreography and a repertoire boasting over 40 iconic songs including Burning Love, Jailhouse Rock, and more, this high-energy production is set to captivate audiences, celebrating the enduring legacy of Elvis Presley.
Rob Mallett, a mainstage and television star, embodies the role of Elvis Presley, having secured the coveted position from over 700 applicants nationwide. Reflecting on the opportunity, Mallett expressed his deep appreciation for portraying a cultural icon.
“I have been influenced by people who have been influenced by Elvis and I didn’t even know it, he is so deeply ingrained in the fabric of our culture. It is an absolute honour to have the opportunity to play him,” he said.
Joining Mallett are seasoned performers Noni McCallum (Come From Away, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Muriel’s Wedding), with Ian Stenlake (Sea Patrol, Stingers, Mamma Mia) playing Elvis’ manager Colonel Parker. Annie Chiswell (Friends! The Musical Parody, Mamma Mia) performs the role of Priscilla Presley and Kirby Burgess (Dirty Dancing, Grease, The Wedding Singer) will play Hollywood actress Ann-Margaret, ensuring a stellar cast that brings the narrative to life.
Elvis: A Musical Revolution is set to explore pivotal moments in Presley’s life, from his humble beginnings in Tupelo, Mississippi, to his triumphant ’68 Comeback Special. Audiences of all ages will have the chance to connect with the music of a generation and witness the journey of a cultural icon.

The creative team behind the musical includes acclaimed Australian talents such as Michael Ralph as Choreographer, Daniel Puckey as Musical Director, and Alister Smith as Director. With a dream team of creatives at the helm, audiences can expect an unforgettable theatre experience.
