Coffee and beer, is there anything better to enjoy as we head into the colder months?
Two Adelaide companies, Shapeshifter Brewing Company and Hark Coffee Roasters, have come together for an exciting launch: a coffee flavoured beer.
Introducing the Shot in the Dark Coffee Stout. This beer uses a base of dark malt and oats to create a full-bodied, rich stout with notes of chocolate and light roast.
What makes it special is that it’s filtered it through a blend of freshly ground Hark Coffee Roasters coffee.
The drink uses 100% organic Ugandan and Peruvian coffee beans, which has a smooth, rounded flavour with a bold coffee punch.
Hark Coffee Roasters is still a relatively new company, but they have taken the coffee world by storm. With a cafe based on Duthy Street, Hark uses Aussie built fluid-bed (100% convection) air roasters to make their delicious roasts, and have been supplying their beans and machines to local cafes.
Their storefront cafe has had great success since opening, immediately becoming the ideal place for locals to stop and have a great cup of joe.
Shapeshifter Brewing Company is a contract microbrewery in Adelaide that specialise in brewing modern and experimental small batch beer, using only fresh ingredients and equally fresh ideas.
They have tonnes of funky beers in their range, including the Level Up (Oat Cream IPA), Cosmic Crusher (DDH Hazy IPA) and the Cheat Code (Sour Hazy IPA).
The Shot in the Dark Coffee Stout is available on the Shapeshifter Brewing Company website as well as in select retailers.
