There is cause for celebration as one of your favourite young brewers is holding a 5-day birthday bash commemorating its birthday.
While the brewery has been producing beer for 4 years, the vibrant and well-known Shapeshifter Tap room in Findon has only been operating for 12 months.
According to Shapeshifter Co-founder Kevin Mulcahy, the festivities will begin with the exciting announcement of special beers, marking the 5-day bonanza.
“We will have produced 50 different beers in one year, with the 49th and 50th beers being released on the birthday long weekend. And without giving it away, these 2 beers will be our most unique beers to date.
“You’ll just have to join us for the birthday celebrations to find out,” Kevin hinted.
Another exciting surprise will be the fact that the venue will unveil one of the largest indoor murals in Adelaide to mark the event.
Artist Sarah Boese has created the colourful Shapeshifter artwork that covers a massive 16 metres by 4 metres of the Shapeshifter Taproom wall.
The artwork is meant to commemorate the occasion so that whoever walks into the tap room, feels like they’re walking alongside history.
Shapeshifter Venue Manager Ryan Moyne has been hard at work designing 5 days of celebrations.
“We’ll kick start the weekend on Thursday the 29th of September, and then line up live music each day over the long weekend, with Shapeshifter favourites R’n’B Rewind getting the place jumping on Saturday night, there is food from Pizza Reggina and Sneaky Pickle, drink specials, fun for the kids, and loads of giveaways. It is going to be one big celebration but you might want to book your spot!”
