San Churro, Australia’s favourite Spanish chocolateria, has partnered with not-for-profit organisation beyondblue to raise awareness and funds to promote good mental health across Australia, with the café launching its initiative. Share a Churros Week urges Australians to connect, or re-connect over churros, with all 46 San Churro stores donating $1 to beyondblue for every churros dish purchased between Monday 15 and Sunday 21 June.
All funds raised during the week will go towards the beyondblue Support Service, which provides the opportunity to speak with trained mental health counsellors via telephone, email and web chat. In 2013/14, beyondblue Support Service answered 73,000 calls, 7,000 emails and 23,000 web chats.
