Share is heading to Murdoch Hill this November for a summer fundraising lunch to remember.
Share is a not-for-profit dining concept started by Africola chef, Joel Tisato, and Africola boss waitress, Kate Richards.
Share enlists the help of South Australian legends to put on food-driven events, using donated produce or food intended for landfill.
For Share’s Summer Fundraiser, happening on November 8, Boston Bay Smallgoods and Port Lincoln big dog, Jason Stephenson, has donated a free-range, ethically raised pig, which chefs from Share and Shakermaker Foods will cook up.
This long, luxe, nose-to-tail lunch will also use vegetables saved by food rescue heroes Oz Harvest SA.
Unlike previous Share events, the summer fundraiser lunch is a ticketed event.
Your ticket gets you a spot at the table to enjoy the five-course nose-to-tail lunch, matched wines by Murdoch Hill, and transport to and from the event.
On the day, tunes will be played by local DJs, with fun times “certified” by Share’s Kate Richards.
All profits raised from all Share events are donated to different charities that help South Australian communities in need.
For this event, Share is donating to The Royal Flying Doctor Service, which recently helped Jason Stephenson’s son in his time of need; Yalari, a not-for-profit organisation offering education scholarships for Indigenous children from regional, rural and remote communities; and The Healing Foundation, an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation supporting the healing of Stolen Generations survivors, families and communities.
