Leigh Street’s Shobosho and Japanese beer Sapporo have joined forces to deliver one of Adelaide’s most intimate dining experiences – complete with free-flowing beer.

Leigh Street’s Shobosho and Japanese beer Sapporo have joined forces to deliver one of Adelaide’s most intimate dining experiences – complete with free-flowing beer. Shobosho’s aptly named Sapporo Room seats up to six guests and features an exclusive banquet menu which boasts the best of the main dining room and SHO yakitori. With free Sapporo Premium Beer on tap for the duration of the booking, diners are treated to the ultimate, intimate izakaya experience – without leaving the heart of Adelaide’s CBD.

Behind the curtains nestled away in the restaurant’s main space lies the perfect place to eat, drink and socialise – whether it be for after-work knock-off drinks or foodie friend catch-ups to sample award-winning dishes.

Guests are immediately treated to a space that oozes sophistication. The Sapporo Room is decked out with a sleek, polished concrete interior, pared back with warm wooden furnishings that are sure to transport diners to the streets of Sapporo. Whether you’re an epicurean enthusiast looking for a classy dining experience, or a weekend reveller in search of the perfect blend of Asian-fusion and beer, the Sapporo Room has it all.

Pork belly kushiyaki, katsu sando and BBQ wagyu are just some of the hero dishes starring in the Sapporo Room’s exclusive banquet menu, showcasing Shobosho’s signature command of smoke, steam and fire.

The Shobosho and Sapporo collaboration is a response to local beer enthusiasts’ growing thirst for Japanese lager which continues to grow in popularity nationwide. Sapporo leads the way as one of the most sought-after brands in the international beer market, and with this great tasting beer on tap, it’s easy to see why the Sapporo Room is so popular.

The intimate space is an ode to the storied Sapporo legacy. First brewed in 1876, it was the first beer to be crafted by the people of Japan. Sapporo Premium Beer sports a subtle malt character with delicate floral aromas, making it the ultimate pairing to Shobosho’s blend of yakitori fire and balanced traditional fare.

Exclusive to Adelaide, Shobosho guests will also get the opportunity to taste Sapporo Black on tap — a balanced dark lager featuring a light, pleasant bitterness coupled with bold coffee and chocolate flavours.

Sapporo Premium Beer is exclusively distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand by Coopers Brewery.

Bookings for Shobosho’s Sapporo Room Banquet are $145 per person, which includes free Sapporo on tap.
