The local independent grocers open & delivering during lockdown

We’ve rounded up the local, independent grocers that are staying open during lockdown, so grab a mask, and let’s get shopping while supporting these businesses.

If one thing the previous lockdowns have taught us, it’s that increased restrictions cause panic buying.

With today’s announcements of a 7 day lockdown across the state, instead of waiting in line for a major grocery store, why not head to a local, independent fruit and veggie retailer.

We’ve made a list of local grocers that are open during lockdown, as well as who will deliver right to your door, so let’s get shopping whilst supporting these independent businesses.

For those looking who might be quarantining and looking for fast food delivery, there’s also a clever way to avoid those long wait times from big brands like Woolies and Coles.

UberEats have a partnership with IGA, so you can get your supermarket essentials and basics within 30 minutes for a cheaper, and much speedier alternative than supermarket delivery.

Many independent local stores are also doing delivery options, for those who are in quarantine or not wanting to venture out to the shops.
