Showcase SA shines spotlight on inspiring female leaders at Penfolds Magill Estate luncheon

Inspiring women leaders to speak at sold-out Showcase SA luncheon to celebrate International Women’s Day.

This International Women’s Day, Showcase SA are shining the spotlight on inspiring South Australian women in leadership in the areas of Government, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social & community engagement.

The formal sit-down luncheon will be held at iconic Penfold’s Magill Estate’s ‘The Tunnels’ where attendees lucky enough to secure tickets to the sold-out event will be hearing stories from each of these South Australian women in leadership.

Speakers include:

Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor, Lord Mayor at the City of Adelaide, who has a PHD in Business Administration and has worked from marketing to CEO in local events such as Adelaide Fringe, WOMADelaide, Adelaide Film Festival and Adelaide Festival of The Arts

Caroline McMillen, Chief Scientist for South Australia who has a decorated career, including her 6-year term as Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice President of Research and Innovation at the University of South Australia, as well as being appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia during the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Taryn Brunfitt, Founder of Body Image Movement, an internationally recognised movement encouraging women to embrace their bodies, founded on the belief that your body is not an ornament, it’s the vehicle to your dreams.

Kathryn House, Community Builder of Impact100 SA and founder of Young Impact SA which awards high-impact grants to a range of South Australian-based organisations, supporting vulnerable members of the community.

This event is a fitting choice for Showcase SA as Co-Founder and Glam Adelaide CEO Kelly Noble, who will be acting as MC during the luncheon, was recently joint-awarded Adelaide Citizens of The Year Community Event of the Year award with her husband and Showcase SA CEO Steve Testar.

Their fundraising efforts in January 2020 when they held the SA4SA Bushfire Appeal Gala after bushfires ravaged the Adelaide Hills in December 2019 raised over $400,000 and was the driving force behind the prestigious award.

The luncheon will be attended exclusively by Showcase SA platinum membership organisations and select invited senior decision makers and executives of South Australian Business; and is presented with series partner Statewide Super.
