Artificial intelligence might sound like something we’d only see on tv, but now it’s more real life and thats why Showcase SA is bringing their latest AI-focused workshop to the city.
Taking place at the Hilton Adelaide on Thursday March 12, the event is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses unlock the practicality of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Adelaide business will have the chance to see how they can fit artificial intelligence into their day-to-day routines, without it taking over the whole show.
Copilot is an artificial intelligence assistant built into Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams. With most Australian SMEs already using Microsoft Office 365 in some capacity, the workshop explores how to go beyond the basics.
Think about all the time put into drafting repetitive emails, pulling together reports, or formatting documents and what you’d do if that was done automatically.
The workshop is split up into two practical sessions, the first focusing on marketing and sales and the second looking at human resources and legal functions. Certified Microsoft technology partners are ready to walk through how AI can be used across business and give practical tips to boost productivity.
The first half includes learning how to generate sales reports and forecasts, create ready-to-use marketing content, analyse customer insights, draft customer emails and follow-ups, and organise customer engagement tasks.
After lunch the workshop will move into things like summarising contracts and legal documents, speeding up research and document preparation, creating HR documents such as handbooks and policies and automating parts of the recruitment process.

Leading the charge is Shraddha Limaye, a senior leader at Microsoft who works at the forefront of helping small and medium businesses turn AI a legitimate business tool. With deep expertise across skilling, partner enablement and cloud adoption, Shraddha is focused on helping SMBs build real capability
Joining her is Valentina Lazarevska, Head of AI Adoption and Enablement, who specialises in neuroscience-based strategies that help get rid of all the confusion and get a bit more confident in the AI space. She’s been active with AI since 2018, and her real skill lies in translating technical complexity into practical action.
Together, the duo are mainly focused on one big goal, less talk more action.
The workshop aims to let guests walk away with real examples of Copilot in action, showing what it can do right now in a small business environment, which tasks can be automated to save time, where AI fits into existing workflows and how to start using Copilot comfortably, even if you’re not so tech savvy.
If you’ve been curious about AI for a while but aren’t sure where to get information, this might be the approachable no fuss way to start learning.
