Delicious gin, tasty oysters, and live music can all be expected at Oysters in the Hills this October.
Sitting out on the picturesque deck of Ambleside Distillers in Hahndorf, every guest receives half a dozen Coffin Bay oysters and a gin and tonic on arrival.
Throughout the afternoon there will be oyster shucking demonstrations, one on one chats with the distillers about gins on offer, and live music serenading in the background.
Speaking of the special event, Director of Ambleside Distillers Matt Dickson said, “The Eyre Peninsula is home, in my opinion, to the best Oysters in the country. Before the season ends, we wanted to pair them with our delicious gin in a unique environment.
“This Thomson family will literally be harvesting their Gazander oysters and bringing them straight to our distillery in the hills, to be shucked and enjoyed by oyster and gin lovers like – you can’t get fresher than that!”
Gazander Oysters and Ambleside Distillers are both small family run and owned business’ dedicated to growing, producing and creating high quality award winning South Australian products.
The event kicks off from 3pm on the Saturday, and you’ll be shucking oysters ’til 6.
Oh, and did we mention, the oysters will be topped with a gin and tonic sorbet?
