It’s quickly become one of our favourite events on Adelaide’s buzzing social calendar and this year Sidewood Estate’s annual wine festival, Vintage & Vinyl, is back with not one but TWO jam-packed days as they team up with Fresh92.7 for this exciting event.
The event will take place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April in celebration of the 2023 vintage complete with drinking, dancing, eating and grape stomping.
Yes, grape stomping. It’s just one of the many unique activities that will be held over the weekend and if you think your grape stomping skills are a cut above the rest, you can enter the stomping competition and win yourself a pretty nifty prize.
Now expanding the entire weekend, Saturday will be the 18+ event just for the adults with a bit more of a party vibe leaving Sunday open for the families to come and experience the estate in a more relaxed setting.
Drinks will be flowing all weekend, with Sidewood providing its incredible collection of wines and cider and good friends and neighbours, Ambleside Distillers will also be in attendance with tastings of their award-winning gin. Not one to miss out on a good time, The Uraidla Brewery will also be providing samples of its Adelaide Hills craft beers.
Hosted by Fresh 92.7 we can only expect the best of the best when it comes to music throughout the day on Saturday. DJ Driller and some special guests will be on the decks bringing you your favourite old-school classics so you can boogie ‘til your heart’s content alongside the Fresh crew.
There’ll also be sabrage lessons aka how to open a champagne bottle with a knife (which is great party trick if nothing else) alongside a free glitter bar so you can really get amongst the festival vibe.
Sunday’s event will still have all the fun but this time, it’s kid-friendly with live music from Baker Boys and free face painting! Plus, kids get in for free!
Fresh wood-fired pizzas will be available both days to keep you nourished as well as a selection of other menu items from the incredible Sidewood chefs.
Founded in 2004, Sidewood Estate has become a favourite amongst locals and travellers with its cellar door and restaurant offering a tasting room, lounge, wine bar and private dining spaces. In 2021, the introduction of the Vintage & Vinyl wine festival has really put them on the map as a must-visit destination in South Australia.
Vintage & Vinyl is an 18+ only event and is ticketed with $35 getting you a free glass of wine, cider or beer on arrival to kick start your day!
