Sidewood Estate, located in the Adelaide Hills, has established itself as quite the destination. From their award-winning wines, vinyl parties, luxury day beds (with gorgeous resort vibes), lawn bowls & Pétanque courts, nature play family zone, and divine Sidewood Restaurant, it’s a must-experience location. Now you have even more of a reason to visit, as their new Winter menu has been launched.

The menu, curated by Executive Chef Jamie Carter, boasts a range of dishes full of rich flavours using seasonal produce from the Adelaide Hills, including meats, seafood, and balanced vegetarian options. This offering promises to deliver the perfect comfort food experience during the cooler months.

Each dish on the menu is designed to complement Sidewood Estate’s award-winning wines, creating a harmonious dining experience that enhances the flavours of both the food and the wine. The winter menu aims to capture the essence of the Adelaide Hills in winter, providing a cosy retreat where guests can enjoy high-quality meals.

Chef Carter spoke about the early reactions to the new menu, saying, “This menu is unapologetically rich in flavour. Our wines have been my muse, and it’s been fun to create these dishes around them using locally sourced beautiful produce. For me the hills are most magical in winter and our restaurant is the perfect place to rug up and indulge in delicious food and wine.”

Highlighting a range of new dishes, the menu includes mouth-watering offerings such as wagyu crostini, roasted Jerusalem artichokes, irresistible broccolini, and succulent lamb cutlets. These dishes are designed to be enjoyed alone or shared among family and friends, embracing the community-focused spirit of the venue.

“Sidewood is a family-run business and I think that sense of comfort from home always shines bright in our food and service. This menu can be enjoyed how you like, but I think great food is best shared,” added Carter.

Set amidst a beautiful backdrop of eucalyptus trees and landscaped gardens, Sidewood Restaurant is a mere 25-minute drive from the CBD. The venue’s warm hospitality is evident from the moment guests arrive. Visitors can choose to dine beside a comforting fire or engage with the eclectic art collection on display, featuring works by renowned artists such as Oslen, Blackman, Boissevain, and Grey Smith.

Sidewood Restaurant is open for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday and for dinner on Friday and Saturday, making it an ideal location for both casual lunches and elegant dinner occasions. With the winter menu now available, guests are encouraged to make reservations and experience firsthand the delightful pairings of food and wine that define Sidewood Estate’s dining experience.
