This Sunday, Foodland Frewville will be hosting a celebratory showcase of all our beloved SA icons, with a series of pop-up tasting experiences appearing throughout the store.
This event is completely free, and will feature an exciting range of local faves including Aussie chef superstar Simon Bryant’s natural food company Dirt(y) Inc, Beerenberg, Barossa Fine Foods, and Golden North Ice Cream.
Before even entering the store, visitors will be met with a series of car park cooking demos run by the one and only Simon Bryant. If that’s not iconic, we don’t know what is.
For those looking to sweeten up their day, Oh Honey will be on site with a live honey bee display (as well as plenty of tasty honey to be devoured).
Never Never Distilling Co. will also be on hand to satisfy all your gin desires with an exclusive in store gin cocktail blending demonstration.
Or, enjoy a throwback with the old-fashioned milk bar, where customers can indulge in award-winning dairy samples from a range of local brands.
Foodland Frewville’s own in store chef Camillo Crugnale will also be making homemade ice cream using classic SA products, perfect for combatting this weekend’s warmer weather.
Twice acclaimed as the World’s Best Supermarket, Foodland Frewville is a significant supporter of local producers and is always exploring new ways to showcase their products.
The store sources predominantly from local suppliers and currently supports hundreds of South Australian growers, primary producers and food manufacturers.
The Celebrate SA Icons event will take place this Sunday September 15 from 11am – 2pm.
