The Penfolds Showcase is the jewel in the crown of the brand’s global calendar, a sensory experience that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.
Set against the backdrop of Magill Estate’s historic vineyards and atmospheric underground tunnels, this exclusive event marks the launch of The Penfolds Collection 2025. Each guest will not only leave with a bespoke, engraved bottle of the newly released Grange but also a collection of specially curated keepsakes to commemorate this exceptional occasion.
Listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia, Penfolds Grange is crafted from intensely flavoured, structure-rich Shiraz grapes, delivering a complexity that transcends generations. With over 30 perfect scores from critics like Wine Spectator and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, it is globally recognised as one of the most consistent and prestigious red wines on the planet.
There will be champagne and canapés awaiting guests’ arrival, to welcome with elegance.
The day then begins beneath the surface and in the storied Drives, a network of tunnels once used for wine storage and bottle maturation before labelling and selling. In the tunnels, a private Masterclass will offer guests a rare opportunity to meet Penfolds’ Senior Winemaker Steph Dutton and Penfolds Global Ambassador Jamie Sach. The two will guide an expert tasting that explores the heritage, vision, and nuance behind each bottle.
The session features the standout new release wines, including the 2023 Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz, 2023 Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, and the flagship 2021 Grange, in what promises to be an educational and highly sensory highlight.
From there, the experience ascends to one of the world’s finest dining experiences, Magill Estate Restaurant. Over five decadent courses, Director and Executive Chef Scott Huggins presents a menu that exemplifies his signature philosophy of purity, finesse, and seasonal expression.
The menu will include dishes the restaurant is most revered for, such as the iconic Magill Estate crumpet, a delicately stuffed chicken wing, and the luxurious Mayura Station Wagyu, which are artfully paired with Penfolds wines, including a handpicked selection of back-vintage treasures rarely offered to the public.
