This year, it’s all about laid-back vibes, fantastic food, and some of the best wines you can sip under the stars. These special dinner nights are happening every Saturday throughout December. It’s the perfect way to kick back and enjoy those long, warm summer nights.
Imagine this: You’re sitting outside on the beautiful verandah of a charming 1850s stone cottage or under the fairy-lights strung among the branches of a magnificent old olive tree. The view? An iconic panorama of vineyards and rolling hills, turning gold and pink as the sun sets. Sounds like the perfect summer evening, right?
That’s the vibe. You see, Skillogalee is situated in the exceptionally beautiful Skilly Valley. It’s a stunning, single-estate property which boasts pristine natural beauty and champions the rich biodiversity of the adjoining Spring Gully Conservation Park.
So, let’s talk about the food. For $89 per person, you’re in for an absolute treat. Think duck pâté & luxado cherry éclair, an incredible South Australian Southern Bluefin Tuna with fermented chilli and bottarga; and a Pistachio Risotto, made with locally-grown pistachios.
And for the main event, there’s a deliciously prepared Local Chicken dish that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Vegetarians, don’t worry – there’s a special menu just for you, featuring dishes like Zucchini Carpaccio and Open Flame Eggplant.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a dinner at Skillogalee without some amazing wine pairings. For an extra $49 or $79, you can enjoy wines that perfectly match each course. I’m talking premium wines, including their Trevarrick Riesling.
And let’s not forget the grand finale – a Dark Chocolate Tart with salted hazelnut cream that’s the perfect end to the meal.
