SkyCity Adelaide, the official entertainment partner for LIV Golf Adelaide, hosted the 2025 LIV Golf Welcome Party on Wednesday February 12th. The event, held in the SkyCity Adelaide Ballroom, was a glamorous start to this year’s LIV Golf tournament. Over 500 guests, including players, event officials, and VIPs, gathered to celebrate the upcoming tournament in style.
The evening featured amazing food, drinks, and entertainment, all provided by the award-winning Events at SkyCity team. Guests enjoyed dishes and drinks from some of South Australia’s best local producers.
Prominent figures such as the newly-appointed LIV CEO Scott O’Neil, golf legend Greg Norman, and Premier Peter Malinauskas took the stage to praise the LIV Golf tournament and the South Australian hospitality industry for creating memorable experiences that have captivated fans.
The event was made possible through collaboration between LIV Golf and key partners like Reddoor Live, 54, TGI Sport Australia, and the South Australian Tourism Commission. Together, they helped create a memorable evening and set the stage for a thrilling season of golf in Adelaide.
LIV Golf’s return to Adelaide for the second tournament of 2025 promises an exciting mix of individual and team competition. The event is building on the success and unforgettable moments of previous years, including the famous hole-in-one in 2023 and the dramatic win for Cam Smith’s Ripper Golf Club in 2024.
Fans are keen to see what this year’s tournament holds, with new players, bigger events, and the return of Ripper Golf Club.
“LIV Golf has been a huge hit with Australian crowds, last year drawing more than 94,000 fans to Adelaide,” Avril Baynes, SkyCity Adelaide’s Managing Director, said. “This year SkyCity will be celebrating forty years of the Adelaide Casino. That’s a terrific history of unforgettable experiences at South Australia’s home of entertainment. We are thrilled to partner with LIV as the official location for fans to enjoy their entertainment.”
The party may have kicked things off, but the fun continued throughout the week. The SkyCity Bunker is the go-to spot for fans looking to enjoy LIV Adelaide’s lively atmosphere. With a dedicated bar, sunken lounge, and a daily silent disco from 11am to 5pm, the SkyCity Bunker is keeping the energy high.
Fans can also take part in fun, free experiences across SkyCity Adelaide. Highlights included a Pirate Life pop-up bar, a three-hole putt-putt challenge across various levels, and a chance to win a $2,500 Drummond Golf voucher for those who make a hole-in-one. The District offers a Virtual Reality Golf Simulator Experience and continues with the silent disco available into the evening.
