SkyCity Adelaide is gearing up to transform Festival Plaza during the AFL Gather Round into the ultimate spot for all things entertainment. Just steps away from the Adelaide Oval, SkyCity Adelaide is bringing a blend of free activities, live broadcasts, and an exciting energy to the CBD this footy season.
Inside SkyCity’s Festival of Footy in Station Road & Festival Plaza, fans won’t have to miss any of the action, as every AFL game from Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval, and Barossa Park will be broadcast live at the pop-up Station Lane bar. The Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) will add to the excitement with live radio broadcasts from the main stage across the four days. To top off the event, Adelaide’s favourite DJs, including saxophone artist Matt Sammut, will be bringing the vibes and performing live.

Michael Neal, General Manager of Hospitality at SkyCity Adelaide, shared, “We have eleven bars and restaurants, the city’s most luxurious hotel, and live entertainment across our venues, so we’ve got something for everyone, no matter the occasion. Game Days are always exciting at SkyCity, Gather Round takes that up to a whole new level so we’re putting on a party to match that.”
SkyCity Adelaide is South Australia’s only fully integrated, world-class entertainment venue with award-winning facilities. This includes bars and restaurants, a 120-room luxury hotel, and a spa and wellness centre, making it a central hub for both entertainment and luxury.
One of the event’s most unique attractions will be the SkyCity Dunk Tank. AFL personalities Kane Cornes, Mark Bickley, and Jarrod Walsh will all be ready to dunk, with SkyCity Adelaide pledging to donate $100 for every successful dunk. They aim to contribute up to $10,000 to the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation, Official Charity Partner of the 2025 AFL Gather Round. If you’re keen to bring the kids, family-friendly activities will be plentiful. Attendees can try their hand at a 3-hole putt-putt course, a silent disco, and even the Handball Heroes challenge. These activities are available free of charge each day of Gather Round.
If good food is what you’re after, three of SkyCity’s eateries will be serving up culinary delights in the Festival of Footy zone at Station Road & Festival Plaza. Station Lane, the dedicated Game Day bar, will offer treats like porchetta arancini, fried chicken, burgers, and Berliner donut balls. Drinks will include selections from Pirate Life, Growers Gate, and various spirits and soft drinks. Outside of iTL, visitors can choose from four types of pizzas made on 60-hour matured dough or enjoy desserts from the Bottega Gelateria cart. The Kitchen will serve a tasty selection from the smoker, including brisket with slaw and flatbread, pulled pork burgers, and loaded sweet potatoes.

If you’re keen to get up close with the stars, an exclusive event at SOL Rooftop will feature a live Q&A with Collingwood’s Nick Daicos on Thursday, 10th April. This free event provides an excellent opportunity to gain insight from one of the league’s top players.
If you’re looking for a spot to kick back, relax, and get a real feel for the city while being at the centre of the action, SkyCity is the place to be.
