If you’re heading to Adelaide for Gather Round or are a local looking to get in on all the action, there’s a one-stop shop you won’t want to miss. In 2026, SkyCity Adelaide is stepping things up, transforming Festival Plaza into an entertainment hub perfectly tailored to all footy fans, just metres from the action.
Running from Thursday, April 9th to Sunday, April 12th, the Riverbank Precinct will roar to life with live broadcasts, pop-ups, fan experiences and plenty of food and drink, giving attendees a central spot to enjoy all the atmosphere between games.
Located just steps from Adelaide Oval, SkyCity Adelaide is already known for its lineup of bars, restaurants and live entertainment, but for Gather Round, it’s expanding well beyond its walls. A Carlton Dry bar will take over Festival Plaza and Station Lane, offering an alfresco space to enjoy a drink.
On Station Lane, every AFL match will be broadcast live on the big screen, meaning fans won’t miss a moment of the action when they’re not cheering from the stands.

Adding to all the fun, Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) will broadcast live from the main stage from Wednesday, April 8th, bringing a packed schedule of shows, commentary, interviews and AFL talent appearances throughout the week.
A lineup of major partners, including Toyota, Heinz, Carlton United Breweries, Flinders University and the Tasmanian Devils Football Club, will also help bring the site to life, with interactive experiences, giveaways and fan zones running each day from 3pm and from midday on Saturday.
Inside SkyCity Adelaide, the action continues at The District Brew Bar, where the TAB Clubhouse will host a series of live events featuring AFL greats. Fans can catch Tony Modra and Darren Jarman on Thursday evening before Luke Hodge makes an appearance on Friday with a handball competition.
The District is also supporting the Kick it for Kids campaign in partnership with the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation, with $6 from every schnitzel sold until April 12th donated to help support healthcare for South Australian children and families.
SkyCity Adelaide General Manager of Hospitality, Michael Neal, said, “Gather Round brings a special energy to Adelaide, and we’re particularly excited to welcome the SEN team back to SkyCity. With new partners on board and a huge line‑up of food, drinks, and entertainment, SkyCity truly becomes the home base for fans throughout the round.”
From yum cha at Huami to rooftop sessions at SOL Rooftop, SkyCity Adelaide’s venues will also have plenty of food and drink specials across the weekend, plus, perks for SkyCity Rewards members, including free parking with eligible spend.
So whether you’re heading to a game or looking for somewhere with all the atmosphere, SkyCity Adelaide is shaping up as one of the best places to be for Gather Round 2026.
