Since the beginning of the pandemic, people around the world have collectively developed a more sophisticated and meaningful understanding of wellness and wellbeing, both mentally and psychically. Recognising the value of wellness, the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) launched WellFest, which endeavoured to shine a light on Adelaide as an emerging destination for health and wellness.
Now in its second year, WellFest is collaborating with likeminded businesses and delivering a jam-packed calendar of events and activations.
One such event is East End Cellars’ ultimate long lunch, returning to the festival after a triumphant, sold-out inaugural year.

Consistent with the core messages WellFest represents, East End Cellars’ is all about good food, good wine, and good people. With a focus on great local produce, the springtime luncheon nourishes its guests, body and soul.
A long, beautifully decorated table will stretch down the length of Vardon Avenue, sandwiched in between some of the East End’s best venues, such as Mother Vine, NOLA, and El Cheeky Flamingo.
Decorated with beautiful blooms and bottles of bubbles, East End Cellars’ popular long lunch event promises to be the perfect ode to not only delicious food, but also the decadent spring season.
Commencing at midday, guests attending the afternoon will be greeted on arrival with a Adelaide Distilling Company gin & tonic before settling in for an afternoon of fun, dining, and live music.

Guests can expect a highly interactive three-course shared lunch, curated by Executive Head Chef Josh Lansley, featuring the freshest ingredients sourced from local producers.
East End Cellars’ playful entrée is set to be an extra bit of fun for guests, with Stracciatella, heirloom tomatoes, basil, ‘pour your own chilli honey’ and shake your own chips.
Following close behind will be East End Cellars’ crowd favourite – its paella and wood fried annatto chicken, served with an array of fresh salads perfect for spring.

But the venue says its dessert course will be the show-stealer, going “bigger and better than last year” … but you’ll just have to attend to find out!
With all that eating, guests will also be enjoying a three-hour drink package, all-inclusive on the day. So be sure to gather your friends for an afternoon of wine and Australian Distilling Co. gin & tonics! Home to an array of classic drops and boutique wines, East End Cellars Tasting Room is sure to have a drop that will tickle your fancy.
If you needed an excuse to kick back with friends and enjoy some much-needed sunshine, here is your chance. Tickets won’t stick around for long, so get in quick to avoid disappointment! To find out more about the event or book, visit the WellFest website.
