It’s been a long week and the weekend is nearing so you’re looking for somewhere to go with your best mates to enjoy some great food, look no further than Society Bar and their popular Feed Me Thursdays sessions which are now back!
This stunning underground bar in the heart of East End is the epitome of classy, approachable, modern and eclectic dining.
Co-owners Alex Huddleston and Josh and Bordy Kleeman are extremely proud of Society Bar, their first business venture together that has now marked one year of business.
“I don’t think any of us expected this to be such a whirlwind of a journey, we were all new to the business world and didn’t know what to expect, running Society Bar has been incredible,” Alex explained.
“Our ‘Feed Me Thursday’ offering has been our most popular by far, when we first introduced it last year we posted a short video on Tik Tok and it completely blew up, causing us to sell our every Thursday for 10 weeks.”
“People have been asking constantly to bring them back, and we figured with the cooler weather settling in it would be a great way to get people coming back to the city.”
Society Bar’s ‘Feed Me Thursdays’ aims to showcase its exquisite menu which rotates as the seasons change. Resident Head Chef Ethan works incredibly hard to bring fresh local flavours in creative forms to the popular restaurant every three months.
“We work hard to perfect our menu but we’re also very focused on catering to everyones dietary requirements, if a customer has a certain requirement that they bring our attention to – we will of course try our hardest to provide.”

Alongside their Feed Me Thursdays, Society Bar also offers a wide range of classic contemporary cocktails, local wines, beers and spirits for you to indulge in any day of the week.
Society Bar’s stunning interior will have you overwhelmed with elegance, between the stunning new interior to the incredible food – they truly have it all.
The dark blue interior juxtaposes the soft gold elements running throughout the bar and the stunning, modern feature light piece. On the top level, you can watch the talented chefs preparing your incredible food open plan kitchen.
Slinging glazed tofu – with soft herbs and house pickles – duck spring rolls with apple sauce and market fish ceviche, the menu has been created to share on the side of the delicious beverages.
Downstairs, the exposed brick cocktail den, with low lighting and an impressive back bar, is the perfect place to carry on your weekend antics. Sip on a Bramble – made with blackberry jam, 78 degrees gin, lemon and sugar – or an SA take on a classic Negroni, stirring okay bitters together with 78 degrees ross vermouth and gin.
And as the night progresses, and the spirits keep flowing, Society will be soundtracking the remainder of the evening and setting up decks and hosting live DJ sessions.
