Join Seven Seasons and Sôl Rooftop Bar for a magical degustation inspired by the lore’s of the land this November, all while the sun sets over the stunning Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens.

The exclusive Taste the Wind evening will be a culinary marriage between retired AFL player and proud Larrakia man Daniel Motlop and Sôl’s renowned Head Chef Kane Pollard.

Renowned for his use of native Australian ingredients in his distilling, Motlop has worked closely with Pollard to create an Indigenous-inspired three-course degustation showcasing the diverse native flavours from the Top End.

Each course will be expertly paired with one of Motlop’s award-winning Seven Seasons spirits, which takes the worlds oldest flavours of Bush Apples, Green Ants and Native Yams – giving them a new spin in the distilling process.

Over dinner, Motlop will discuss his love of native ingredients and how Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders use nature and the seven seasons as their clock.  He will further touch on how his spirits and indigenous foods company Something Wild support local Aboriginal harvesters and communities.

“Kane and I wanted to make this dinner a showcase of the best of Australia and shine a light on the extraordinary native ingredients that are bountiful in nature such as the Green Ants, Bush Apples and Native Yams,” says Motlop.

The Taste the Wind degustation will take place on November 17, with tickets priced at $159. For an extra $40, guests will also be able to take home a bottle of Seven Seasons award-winning Native Yam Vodka, Green Ant Gin or Bush Apple Gin.

As for entertainment, Marlon Motlop, Daniel’s talented cousin and singer-songwriter star, will serenade guests with an array of his latest hits pre-dinner as Pollard serves up mouth-water Indigenous-inspired snacks.

“Marlon and I are so excited to join forces with Kane and showcase his extraordinary talents using our products from the Top End.  It will be an event to remember and a true celebration of our indigenous culture,” says Motlop.
