Last night the prestigious 14th annual Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards were held in Pyrmont, where 600 of the industry’s best bartenders, bar owners, and bar professionals came together to celebrate the achievements of the past year.

Facing tough competition from Australia’s best bartenders, South Australian bar legend Nathan Beasley took out the coveted title of Bartender of the Year. He may have moved interstate to pursue his career, but we’re still claiming him as our own.  It’s not the first bartending award for Nathan, after taking out the Havana Club Grand Prix in May this year.

The Bar of the Year State Winner for South Australia was popular lane way bar Udaberri, while Clever Little Tailor took home the award for South Australian Cocktail Bar of the Year.

The Wheatsheaf was awarded the SA Pub of The Year.
