Last night the Oscars of the hair and beauty industry took place at Luna Park and highlighted some incredible talent from right around the country. The Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA) celebrates some of the best creatives in the industry and South Australia absolutely cleaned up.

South Australian Hairdresser of the Year – Sam James-Cockayne from Orbe North Adelaide
Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year – Cherie Falco from Kinky Curly Straight
If you’re a loyal Glam Adelaide reader then the name Sam James-Cockayne will be sounding all too familiar. We literally can’t stop writing about this girl. She’s on fire! This is the second award in a week that she has managed to nab.
If there was ever a time you thought this was going to be Sam’s year, you were right. She is winning basically every award she goes up for and there’s no sign of her slowing down. The young hairdresser, salon owner and mega babe has quickly risen to become the golden girl of Adelaide’s hairdressing scene and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
