South Australia Wins Big On The World Donut Stage

Everything is coming up donuts (which is totally a good thing)…

Who knew that there was such a thing as the World Krispy Kreme Awards? Well ‘donut’ question us when we tell you, it exists! And Krispy Kreme South Australia has recently returned triumphant from the Awards with several gongs in tow.

Remember when they opened the West Croydon store? Adelaide basically went mental for it! Well that amazing opening saw them bring home the award for an ‘Outstanding Store Opening’. The award is based on the criteria including most creative store opening and store design, which the West Croydon store obviously nailed!

“Opening the first store in Adelaide over a year ago was a fantastic event for us and so well received by the Adelaide community,” said Krispy Kreme SA General Manager Mark Higginbottom.

The second award they brought home was for ‘Most Successful Store’ which was again taken out by the West Croydon store.

“We were thrilled to win both of these awards it is a great reflection of the hard work our team, and most importantly the power of the people of South Australia to embrace Krispy Kreme,” said Mr Higginbottom.

“We are also excited to have won both awards in the lead up to the new Port Wakefield Road Kripsy Kreme manufacturing super store, as it marks our growth and investment in SA. The new store has created 60 new jobs which have been filled almost entirely by people living in the local area.”

“The new Krispy Kreme will be open 24/7 and manufacture over 1000 donuts an hour, it’s location will service all of the northern communities and people travelling to the North of the state,” said Mark.

Bring on more Krispy Kremes!
