An unidentified individual from South Australia has won the entirety of last night’s $50 million Oz Lotto jackpot. This considerable sum was won in the Oz Lotto draw 1608, held on Tuesday, December 10th. This ticket was the singular division one winning entry across the entire nation.
In an exciting update on December 12th, a Burra man discovered he had become the sole winner of the $50 million jackpot.
The lucky ticket was purchased in South Australia’s Mid-North Region at an SA Lotteries outlet, the specifics of which will be made public at 9:00am AEST on Thursday, unless the winner steps forward sooner.
The win is the second-largest lottery prize awarded in South Australia in 2024. Earlier in May, South Australia celebrated creating Australia’s largest-ever individual lottery winner—an Adelaide man who claimed a $150 million Powerball prize.
Contingent on the winner registering their ticket with The Lott Members Club, officials from The Lott would have automatically notified the winner. Bust as the ticket in question was unregistered, the responsibility is placed on the winner to check their ticket and reach out to initiate the claim process.
“Tonight’s win caps off a winning year for the state,” shared Matt Hart, a spokesperson for The Lott.

The draw did not just create one millionaire but awarded a total of 719,479 prizes across divisions two to seven, accumulating over $67 million. Among these, 10 division two winners each received $62,689.10.
The winning numbers for the draw were 1, 29, 20, 23, 34, 46, and 39, with supplementary numbers 42, 43, and 24.
