South Australian Women in Business Conference this Friday to feature Michelle Bridges and other empowering speakers

The South Australian Women in Business Conference returns on November 15, 2024, featuring keynote Michelle Bridges, expert workshops, and networking, aiming to boost local business growth and women’s professional development.

The South Australian Women in Business Conference returns this Friday, November 15th, hosted at Sferas Function Centre. For its second year, the conference will continue to foster meaningful connections and insights for women across the state. It is organised by the City of Salisbury’s Polaris Business Development Centre with additional support from the Office for Small and Family Business.

The theme for this year, ‘Shaping the future of women in business’, aims to highlight the significant potential women can achieve within a supportive community network.

The conference will kick off with opening remarks from The Hon. Andrea Michaels MP, Minister for Small and Family Business, followed by a welcome address by Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM.

The day-long event promises an array of activities tailored for women at various stages of their business careers. The programme includes a keynote address by Michelle Bridges, Health and Fitness Expert, Entrepreneur Author, and Founder and Director of 12WBT.

Michelle Bridges shared, “I am pumped to be visiting Adelaide again and honoured to be speaking at the South Australian Women in Business Conference in Salisbury. I will be talking all things women in business, and I can’t wait to meet and chat with all the ladies attending on the day.”

A panel discussion featuring leading South Australian business figures will also take centre stage, alongside speed networking sessions and workshops. These sessions will cover vital topics such as protecting intellectual property, understanding personality profiles, and practical tips for turning business ideas into reality.

The conference is an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain practical business skills and network with peers, fostering both professional and personal growth.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM spoke about the importance of the event, saying “We’re incredibly proud to support the South Australian Women in Business Conference, hosted by the Polaris Business Development Centre. This event empowers local women, fuels business growth, and contributes to a thriving economy here in Salisbury and beyond.”

April Hobbs, from the Polaris Women in Business Advisory Network Committee, also shared her thoughts on the conference’s impact, saying “There’s something special that happens when women in business get together – ideas spark, support flows, and new possibilities are born. The Women in Business Annual Conference isn’t just an event; it’s a powerful reminder of what women can achieve when we lift each other up and move forward together.”

Participant Kerry Pienaar, founder of Complete Communications Coach and an avid conference attendee, spoke about the learning opportunities the conference presents, saying “I love any opportunity to connect with other women in business and expand my network because I’m a solopreneur. The focus on innovation is great, as I’m always looking to innovate my business. As a public speaker and confident communication coach, I’m always keen to hear people speak and learn new things, so I look forward to seeing Michelle Bridges and the panel discussion.”

With ticket availability limited to 200, prospective attendees are encouraged to secure their place as soon as possible.
