South Australians who have been in Greater Melbourne as of January 28 must get tested for COVID-19 on days one, five, and twelve after a positive case was reported in Victoria last night.
Isolation is required pending the result of the first COVID-19 test.
South Australian Premier Steven Marshall confirmed the border with Victoria will remain open.
“It is still early days and we are still receiving information from Victoria,” said the Premier.
“We do need to be alert, we don’t need to be alarmed.”
The Premier also stated anyone who has been at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne from January 28 will be required to go into hotel quarantine, and must contact SA Health as soon as possible.
South Australia’s Transition Committee will be meeting tomorrow to look at isolation requirements after testing.
