South Australians may soon be able to travel to New Zealand

The Premier has written to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern seeking “reciprocal rights” to South Australians wanting to travel to New Zealand.

Premier Steven Marshall is seeking permission for South Australians to be able to return or travel to New Zealand.

Yesterday, South Australia officially joined the New Zealand travel bubble, with New Zealanders now able to enter the state without quarantining.

The Premier today revealed he has written to recently re-elected New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern seeking “reciprocal rights” to South Australians wanting to travel to New Zealand.

“We are the safest state in the safest nation,” stated the Premier in a Facebook post.

Should the Premier’s request be granted, South Australians could become the first in the country permitted to travel to New Zealand without quarantining.

More to come.
