Village Grounds Café at Alberton has been crowned the winner of the 2022 Kids In Adelaide “Best Babyccino” Competition, beating almost 50 other cafes and restaurants across South Australia.
Dubbed “more than a café”, this popular village meeting place on Torrens Road made it to the Top 10 and took a resounding win after receiving over 500 votes on Facebook from Kids In Adelaide followers.
“We want to create space for parents and neighbours to connect and gather in meaningful and enjoyable ways so that friendships and support networks can be formed,” said Lisa from Village Grounds café.
“Our Babyccino Of The Month is always made with love for parents to bring their little ones into the café and enjoy some time together, so we are thrilled to have won this competition!”
Now in its sixth year, the Kids In Adelaide Babyccino Competition aims to highlight family-friendly dining options across Adelaide and South Australia – something that is at the core of what Kids In Adelaide is all about, says owner Roxy Walsh.
“Kids In Adelaide exists to connect parents and families to kid friendly events, cafes and fun places to visit. Our team works hard to ensure our website, Facebook and Instagram pages are always up to date with the latest on what’s happening for families to enjoy across Adelaide. Our annual Babyccino Competition is yet another example of this,” said Roxy.
Previous winners of the Best Babyccino Competition include Helzi & Beans, Acre & Ash and Forest Gold Café. Village Grounds Café are deserving recipients of the award, with their “Babyccino Of The Month” gaining them fans across the city.
Each month a delightful new Babyccino is announced, with recent creations including the ‘Piggyccino’, the ‘Giraffacino’ and the ‘Frogachino’.
They receive regular feedback from their customers that their Babyccinos often last longer than the parents’ coffee, meaning a relaxing experience for families.
Village Grounds Café is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and is located at 793 Torrens Road, Alberton.
