South Australia’s Farmers Union Iced Coffee gets a protein-packed makeover

Packed with 36g of protein per serving and with no sugar added, FUIC Protein offers the perfect caffeine kick for its loyal FUIC fanbase and more health-conscious consumers.

Farmers Union Iced Coffee, South Australia’s premier iced coffee brand, has launched its most protein-rich offering yet, the Protein Iced Coffee. This latest product is designed to cater to the increasingly health-conscious consumer base in South Australia, providing them with a robust 36g of protein per serving while containing no added sugar.

Manufactured exclusively in South Australia, the FUIC Protein Iced Coffee is not only a local production but it’s also a symbol of state pride that remains wholly Australian owned. As a part of the Bega Group, Farmers Union Iced Coffee has been a staple beverage created at the Salisbury facility since 1977, celebrated for its use of fresh Australian milk and genuine coffee flavours.

The release of Protein Iced Coffee responds to a growing consumer trend towards protein-rich foods and beverages. A market that has expanded to an $8 billion industry in Australia, protein products are now a significant draw in mainstream markets. Research indicates that one-third of beverage consumers are actively seeking high-protein options to deliver sustained fullness and energy, which FUIC Protein promises to fulfill.

Zabean Bhanji, Brand Manager for FUIC, said, “Our latest protein launch has been driven by consumers’ demand for high-protein products. As functional health and lifestyle trends continue to gain momentum, we see consumers looking to get more benefits out of their iced coffee pick-me-up, and FUIC Protein does just that by supporting a protein-charged diet.” Bhanji continued, “Made with fresh milk and real coffee, our FUIC Protein is a welcomed addition to our iced coffee family, and we look forward to seeing South Australians powering up with a delicious FUIC Protein carton in their hands.”

Available in a 600ml carton, the Protein Iced Coffee will hit the shelves in South Australia and the Northern Territory starting from November 4th 2024.

The FUIC range now spans several varieties including the Original, Strong, No Sugar Added, Lactose Free, and the new Protein edition.
