Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA) have announced the winners of their prestigious 2024 Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence for South Australia. The glamorous gala dinner, held at Morphettville Racecourse, honoured the very best in hospitality dining and service excellence across a wide range of categories.
R&CA CEO Suresh Manickam offered his heartfelt congratulations to all the winners on behalf of the Association, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to South Australia’s vibrant hospitality scene.
“We are constantly inspired by the passion, creativity, and unwavering dedication shown by everyone involved in the restaurant and catering industry,” Mr Manickam remarked. “From chefs and restaurateurs to servers and suppliers, they all play a crucial role in shaping the culinary identity of these regions and enriching the lives of their patrons.”
This year’s major award winners showcased a diverse range of culinary talents.
Mariners Ristorante in North Haven swept the board, claiming Restaurant of the Year, as well as Best Italian Restaurant and Seafood Restaurant.
Pony and Cole in Hindmarsh impressed the judges, securing Best Casual Dining Restaurant and Café Dining.
In the catering sector, Events at SkyCity reigned supreme, earning the top honour of Caterer of the Year, along with Event/Convention Centre Caterer and Best Wedding Caterer.
Finally, both Mayura Station’s The Tasting Room in Millicent and Watervale Hotel in Watervale were inducted into the esteemed South Australia Hall of Fame.
