Located on the heritage-listed Goolwa Wharf, overlooking the mesmerising blue waters of the lower Murray River, you’ll find the home and cellar bar of 90 Mile Wines.
Opened in 2014, this rustic establishment offers a wine bar, cellar door, craft beers, grazing boards and gourmet toasties, with epic views of one of South Australia’s most iconic waterfront locations.
90 Mile Wines, created and owned by Steve Ramsey, gets its name from the distance one would have travelled between the original cellar door and vineyard.
Having moved the cellar door from Middleton to the historic Goolwa Wharf in 2014, 90 Mile Wines has a new metaphor surrounding the wine brand.
The Wharf Barrel Shed cellar door now sits at the start of the ninety mile stretch of shore that runs adjacent to the World Heritage listed Coorong National Park.
The beautiful coastline is definitely worth checking out while you’re in the area.
Owner of the Wharf Barrel Shed, Chris Ramsey, believes that quality food and wine should always be enjoyed alongside good friends and family.
Cozy up on the couch next to their open fire and relish in the locally sourced wine, predominately from Langhorne Creek wineries. You can enjoy some of the best SA wines from Kimbolton, Vineyard Road, Temple Bruer Organic Wines and Finniss River to name a few.
If craft beer is more your thing, bask in the flavours from SA brewers such as Vale Brewing, Smiling Samoyed, and most recently Swell Brewing.
The venue is open daily from midday with happy hour every weekday from 4 ’til 6pm.
Live music has always been a huge part of the venue’s success, and before COVID-19 restrictions set in The Wharf Barrel Shed was employing the services of around 30 local and Adelaide based musos for live gigs every weekend.
