Get out your festival gear, Adelaide! Space Jams Festival is making a return after its incredibly successful South Coast tour last year.

Teaming up with Pirate Life Brewing and Imperial Measures, Robe’s The Cantina will play host to one of SA’s best small festivals. While last year saw Space Jams travel the state, this year the festival is planting its roots in the Limestone Coast for a vibrant two-day festival this April 16 and 17.

Headlining the event is Timberwolf -the soft, acoustic wonder that has become a staple in SA’s music scene – and Teenage Joans – who smashed records at the 2021 SA Music Awards with their electrifying record.

From fire twirling to epic music and food and drink offerings, 350 punters per day will be able to enjoy the thrill of live music across the two-day event. If you have little ones too, they can chill out in the kid’s area and enjoy the show. While both Timerwolf and Teenage Joans will play this April, a whole line-up of incredible, homegrown talent is set to be announced in the coming days – so keep your eyes peeled!

What started as a way for musicians hard-hit by the pandemic to continue playing has evolved into one of SA’s most vibrant festivals. Space Jams, the brainchild of musician Josh Morphett, found its place as a live-streamed Instagram festival in 2020, its innovation showcasing the resilience of the industry.

South Australian’s passion and hunger for live music saw Space Jams grow into a monthly online festival, before hosting a mini-fest at Hindley Street institution, Jive. Following on from its conception, local filmmaker Mark Tipple captured the organic progression of Space Jams closely and produced a short documentary at the end of 2020.

At the beginning of 2021, the music festival hit the road, touring six regional towns before a show-stopping 14-artist finale at UniBar ADL.

Pulling together some of SA’s most talented musicians – from the likes of Ollie English to Bermuda Bay – Space Jams has been recognised for their efforts and imagination, nominated for the 2020’s ‘Best Innovation’ at the SA Music Awards and taking home top prize for ‘Best Small Festival’ at the 2021 show.

So music lovers! Grab your tickets to Space Jams here. The festival kicks off this April 16 and 17 at The Cantina in Robe.

You can find The Cantina at 35 Evans Cave Road, Robe, SA, 5276
